The Professorship of Organization and CSR is part of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Sustainability. In our research, we address various aspects of corporate management, which we examine using different theoretical and methodological approaches. In teaching, we cover a broad range of topics such as strategy, CSR, business ethics, sustainability, and methodology courses.

Aaken

Dominik van Aaken is a professor at the University of Sustainability and a research associate at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Dr. van Aaken’s research is regularly published in leading international journals. He is a co-founder of a non-profit association and a partner at a consulting firm in Munich.
He earned his doctorate in Strategic Management and completed his habilitation in the field of Controlling at LMU Munich (with research semesters at the University of Zurich and King’s College London). His research focuses on strategic management, corporate responsibility, and sustainability.
Dr. van Aaken’s research is regularly published in leading international journals such as Business Ethics Quarterly, Long Range Planning, and Organization.
Through his professional activities, he has gained deep insights into various functions and industries. He is a co-founder of a non-profit association and a partner at a consulting firm in Munich.

Research
IIn our research and teaching, we address various aspects of corporate leadership, which we examine using different theoretical and methodological approaches.
We value the diversity of theories and methods in our research perspective. We study the influence of executive socialization on organizational life, questions of organizational identity, and theoretical issues, which include:
- Strategic orientations of top managers
- Attitudes toward sustainability
- How organizational identity develops
- The relationship between theories and methods
